The Key 8 competence have been introduced in educational field for many years. Since then some countries have adopted the same or similar system. But unfortunately many educators remain unaware of it or posses little knowledge about the concept. Moreover, there is no practical experience among big number of educators to design or adjust activities and classes to the Key competences concept. This also often includes neglection of such important learning aspects as reflection, evaluation and documentation of learning process and outcomes. Through out the training "Science of 8 competences" we will try to find a solution for those issues by introducing common understanding of the Key competences and their practical application. The participants that are expected to be part of the training have different background but they all are educators. Among the partners there are as municipalities, schools, NGO's as well as kindergarten and a coach organization. There will be 8 participants from every Baltic state (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) including 2 trainers, 1 facilitator and 1 volunteer as support staff. The basic methods that the programme consist of are non-formal. Special emphasis will be placed on participants' experience. There will be a lot of space provided to share views on the concept in order to find the best and common definition and understanding of it. To achieve those outcomes there will be a lot of reflection, feedback and evaluation sessions. A number of tools will be passed to participants for practical reasons. There will be a group task to design new methods and activities that would embed the comptences. To test those newly designed activities participants will have a chance to test it with school pupils in two different schools in Tallinn. The Youthpass as a tool that recognizes the competences and has space for outcomes documentation will not be used only for the purpose to cetify the outcomes. We want our participants to get through the pass procedure and reflect on its benefits, difficulties, relevance and necessity. This training may produce various benefits in long perspective: - understanding of the competences and, as a result, their application in youth work; - new tools and methods that might help youth workers to design their activities in accordance with the concept and youth needs; - network of Russian speaking partners in 3 Baltic states.
