Schimbă rolul, preia controlul! (Switch the role, be in control!)
Date du début: 7 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 7 juil. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Through the project "Switch the role, be in control", we aim to prevent and decrease the number of young consumers of tobacco, alcohol and drugs, by raising awareness and accountability of harmful and destructive effects of these substances, on physical, psychological-behavioral and social level. The project brings together 40 young people aged 13 to 16 years old and 8 group leaders from 4 different countries: Romania, Turkey, Italy and Hungary. During 8 days, they will learn together, exchange ideas and seek solutions to switch the role (from addicted to independent) and be in control over their lives. Through the activities undertaken (open discussions and debates, in-field visits, workshops, information campaigns, interactive theater games, inter-cultural exchanges etc.), we aim to achieve the following objectives: 1. Increasing the level of knowledge of the 40 young people involved in the project regarding the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol and drugs consumption; 2. Raising awareness and empowerment of participants and dissemination of knowledge in their local communities; 3. Involving young people in information and prevention activities regarding the consumption of tobacco, alcohol and drugs; 4. Designing and distribution of informational materials about the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol and drugs consumption, by participants in the youth exchange; 5. Development of skills, competences, knowledge and proactive attitude; 6. Providing alternatives to spend their free time; 7. Advice regarding the opportunities offered by Erasmus + programme. The desired impact of the project will be manifested at several levels: - individual: each participant will develop practical skills and competencies, will gain knowledge regarding the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco and drugs consumption, will raise awareness and become a more responsible citizen. The participants will gain benefits on their personal and professional growth and development. - institutional: the partner organizations can take the initiative to develop similar projects in their local community, with national or international partners, forwarding the idea of positive social change through youth empowerment and prevention of harmful substances consumption. - social: the young participants will share their knowledge and experience gained during this exchange in their communities. On long term, the expected effects will be: improving education level through dropout prevention, preparing young people professionally to avoid the situation of unemployment after graduation, lower rates of juvenile delinquency, improving lifestyle and health levels etc. Regarding the target group, the impact will be to increase the level of understanding, tolerance, acceptance and social inclusion. Young consumers or likely to consumption of harmful substances will be encouraged to find alternatives to spend their free time, to socialize and focus on beneficial activities, to the detriment of alcohol, tobacco and/or drugs consumption.
