Our project is related to the theme Learning and Business: Education in Entrepreneurship. The beneficiaries are projected to be 12 teachers of Evening EPAL Stavroupolis (Staff Action) and 14 students with 2 companions teachers of the same school (Action Learners).Bodies involvedSending institution will be the Evening EPAL Stavroupolis and Host institution European Projects Development (EPD). The two entities have designed a plan of activities in order to exercise the two groups in the "art of doing business" with theoretical training, workshops and working visits. Additionally, the sending organization has asked the participation of CEDEFOP and the Greek Company Management Association (EEDE) and KESYP Neapolis in the phases of preparation, dissemination and evaluation of the program. The two groups of beneficiaries will be practiced in the field of development of entrepreneurship of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the construction sector, the sector of finance and administration and the sector of health. In evening schools are attended and enrolled employed and unemployed students, while they have undertaken and social roles (eg family), at the same time wish to improve their professional, economic and social status. Specifically, Evening EPAL Stavroupolis is located in the center of the western districts of Thessaloniki where they live social layers of workers, which this period affected by unemployment as a consequence of the economic crisis. The redundancies and flexible working relations lead the workforce living in this area to look through further education and training a better job or even starting business activities. These business actions are based on knowledge of the economic needs of the region and in contact with the corresponding commercial and financial networks. However, the entrepreneurial initiatives of students Evening EPAL Stavroupolis fail because they are absent in the Greek educational system studying and exercising in entrepreneurship. This field will exercise the aforementioned groups of beneficiaries, teachers and students. The choice of Portugal as our plan’s destination is based on three elements. First the fact that the socio-economic conditions of the two countries are similar (peripheral EU countries). Second, entrepreneurship is a key activity of the Portuguese education system and promoted as the main option to mitigate the effects of unemployment. Third the existence of ports -Lisavona, Porto and Thessaloniki- is a source of business activities in trade sector. Unlike Greece, Portugal utilizes effectively the European resources and new enterprises of small and medium continuously are activated. The deliverables of the project will be three (03)1) Evening EPAL Stavroupolis will operate an information office for entrepreneurship (Hotspot) in the school, where the beneficiary teachers will inform students and graduates for the European funds utilization possibilities (like Cosme, SME, Instrument etc.) or the ESPA (startups’ entrepreneurship, upgrade of micro & small current businesses to new markets etc).2) The group of beneficiary teachers (Personnel Action) will produce as deliverable after the phase of installation, a concise guide that will contain all the basic knowledge for starting an SME, which will provide material for the students' preparation phase (Action Learners) that will be installed later in Portugal. This manual will be uploaded on the school website in a format pdf.3) The group of beneficiary learner students (Action trainees) will deliver the business plans that will be developed during the placement. These "companies" will be presented at a special evaluation workshop by experts, businessmen of the sector to criteria of sustainability, the utilization of European funding, the use of ICT and the development of new jobs. And this material with the comments and evaluative ranking will be posted on the school website, so that together with the manual for teachers are available for the entire educational community of Vocational Training in Greece as supplementary material for courses on Entrepreneurship in Technical High School Students or to IEK students. The beneficiaries will be awarded certificates of attendance from the host organization and the Europass Mobility.
