Scalda Europese Mobiliteit 2014-2016
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 1 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The policy of Scalda concerning International learning is aimed on integration of international learning in the curriculum of the VET education. Each cluster of education is responsible for the just how fast this process will be and to what extent. Scalda has recently written a policy on international learning and each cluster of education will scan the position of the cluster on international learning. Afterwards they will write down the ambition. The project SEM 2014-2016 is part of the policy of Scalda and is aimed at the goals of the policy. At the moment 3 clusters of Education are involved in the project: Catering, Tourism & Food (HTV) and Technic & Design. For each educational part of Scalda it is very important the student have experienced an European labour market. Also the student have experienced differences in European cultures, not only in work experience, but also because of communicating while living for a longer time in another European country. Foreign language learning is also essential to the project; in the profession as well as communicating in general. The students of HTV will have internships of each time about 20 weeks. Because the internships are part of the curriculum, they are closely connected to the Scalda policy. The students of Technic&Design had internships in he fields of construction and motor vehicles in Scotland. The Borders College has acted as the intermediary. For technical education the international internship is a choice of the student and makes for the student a extraordinary learning possible. The project has been carried out on the level of education as it comes to educational support of the student. On a central level the project leading, administration and evaluation has been organised. The project has received publicity on the website of Scalda and the local newspaper, next to the local Television Station.
