The students of a big city in Greece and the students of a city in Portugal will collaborate in a project concerning the environment and the need to save energy for our future and the sustainability of the planet. They will “get to know” their narrow environment and its problems and will try to “alert” their familiar environment (classmates, parents, wider school community, local community etc).It is absolutely necessary to proceed to the information, the sensitization and the activation of young, future citizens of the world in order to achieve the required sustainability and we, as well as the future generations, will live in a viable environment with quality life, regardless if our residence is in big city, small city or village.Through joint activities, the pupils of both schools will come in touch the environmental problems of the planet. They will visit competent organizations and will talk to experts. They will visit environmental and science centers, they will participate in educational projects and they learn about the energy.They will use the new technologies (internet, e-learning, multimedia applications, chat, forum, e-mail etc) and will create websites, movies, presentations, will write lyrics and make songs for the environment, s etc.Through those activities, they will have the chance to get to know a foreign language, to visit the country and share with other young people their concern about the future of the planet.
