The school wishes to participate in the Erasmus+ program aiming at the general upgrading of teaching. This will be achieved by training teachers participating in seminars in European countries, conducting projects, implementing educational programs and participating in other European programs. Our goal is for teachers to get in touch with educational systems of European countries, so that on the one hand to change for the better their own teaching methods and on the other hand to become a bridge of contact and exchange between European peoples together. The improvement of teaching will occur through the monitoring of teaching methods of their colleagues in European schools and their becoming familiar with the teaching used in the countries they will visit. The familiarity between the people of Europe will be the result of exchange visits with European schools. The benefit of these visits will be the contact of students with different culture and their interaction, thus understanding their differences and finding their common roots as citizens of the European continent. In this way they will learn to embrace diversity as an opportunity to enrich their own knowledge and characteristics and not as a reason for conflict. This is particularly necessary for our school that is intercultural. From the seminars, ones takes place in Spain and will study the influences between Europe and Asia. The next will take place in Sicily, a place so close to Greece geografically and culturally, and deal with the elements that shape the culture of a people. The third will be held in Cyprus, with practice on theater and literature and will be related to the influence of popular culture in various art forms. The Portugal seminar is related to teaching through project and European programs. As part of the school΄s participation in Erasmus+ actions will take place that will become known in the wider school environment through the local media. So the school will approach the local community.
