The education sector of the Provincial of the Brothers of Charity supports its schools on religious, pastoral, educational, administrative, legal, financial, material, logistical and technical. Therefore, since a few years is chosen to support schools through an ICT core team in their quest for new media, innovative ICT developments and proper use. From that perspective, it is an opportunity to lift in one movement networking and ICT profesionnaliteit within the schools to a higher level. With all secondary schools together we want to jump on the digital train by informing our schools and if possible to streamlining the use of new technologies. In this way, schools, teachers, headmasters and ICT coordinators easily exchange experiences and good practices, and thus make their lessons more attractive and fascinating. In that context, it is a good practice to go to the BETT event in London. The BETT event is a renowned IT event aimed specifically at the European education market. Here our teachers will participate in information sessions, workshops and speeches from leading manufacturers from Europe and other continents. Each school puts together a team consisting of one teacher, one ICT coordinator and one board member. From the perspective of their own school insight each team member with his specialty (educator, technologist and decision-maker) will look at the exhibited new technologies to reach joint decisions. In between the schools there will obviously be reflection and consultation as each specialty is also represented in the other teams. In other words, there is both a vertical and horizontal coherence through the composition of our teams. Of course, the participants are expected to implement the new insights into their own classroom and school practice. Through staff meetings, department meetings local teams will be informed. Wit the IT coordinator days and "teach & meat -training sessions organized across school boarders other schools, guidance services and inspectors will be fed back to the new insights.
