The aim of the project was to study and develop tools so that information and communication technology (ICT) may serve in the sustainable way the practical school life. The focus of our joint project has been to create a learning community through digital learning environments and utilising the potential of ICT as a catalyst of social and educational innovation and change. Effectiveness in learning, mutual learning experience and good correspondence as teachers and learners were the core aims. Learning can be enhanced through ICT as a mediating artifact in classrooms, eg discovery learning, motivating students and attracting drop-outs back to learning, enabling learning outside the school environment. Main processes were connected to Moodle, Web Gallery, Webzine, Website, processing of Brown morning short story , surveys, conferences, project meetings, preparations and tasks connected to them. Sustainable development and environmental issues, safe and responsible use of Internet through promoting students’ critical thinking and decision-making skills, have been permeating all activities. The logo activity was the first chance to inform students and staff about the aims of the project. Estonian, Finnish and French students were asked to make proposals for a logo. Swedish students and teachers would then finalize the logo to its final form. The selected logo has turned out to be clear and useful in all its utilization. Moodle was chosen as a collaborative tool available in the Internet due to the aim of the project. All the processes and results can be found and identified in this platform. Despite the collaborative platform for the organisation team consisting of 6 persons have had their meetings in the net by mainly utilizing Skype programs. The Web Gallery is a tool meant for visualization of what went on inside and outside, but also before and after the project. The idea was to make similarities and differences between different cultures and countries seen
