It is obligatory to develop the various aspects of teaching profession which is the one of most important elements of leaning process. While our teachers executing their professions, they should meet their deficiencies in pedagogical knowledge in addition to their content knowledge in order to provide maximum performance for students. Thanks to this project, we would like to meet the deficiencies of our teachers in pedagogical knowledge that they lack most besides content knowledge.
Within the scope of European personnel movement, our participants will be given ten basic pedagogical educations in groups at four different countries. Our teacher participating this project will bring new approaches to our school in terms of education, methods and procedures, and our institution will have an education infrastructure in compliance with EU standards.
Twenty teachers taking place in the project will take education in Germany, Italy, Spain and Holland.
The criteria for our participants are: to have an intermediate foreign language skill, to have no obstacle to travel, to feel the necessity of education in specified fields and to be eager to guide students about these topics besides major area courses
Speaking of the pedagogical content topics that we chose are; topics such as early childhood education, the prevention of bad habits, violence management in school, conflict management, approaches to reduce school dropping will provide benefit to students individually and to the society. Topics such as techniques for choice of profession, education based on interrogation, Reduction of absenteeism, increasing student participation in the classroom and time management are the courses chosen for students’ education achievement.
If pedagogy is considered as didactics, all interactions among learning, students and teachers are a part of pedagogy. It is not true to say that professional content knowledge is enough for teaching profession. Thanks to this project, our aim is to make teachers learn different techniques and methods used in abroad and to make them use in their courses and programs, and to broaden educators’ aspects of pedagogical subjects via EU vision.
