Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our project consists of two flows. As part of the first flow, 20 students from our nursing department will receive training on neonatal physiology and care at the Stredná zdravotná škola institution in Slovakia between the dates of 07.01.2017 and 22.01.2017. As part of our second flow, 20 students from our emergency medical services department will receive training on disasters, disaster management and planning at the Jane Sandanski institution in Macedonia between the dates of 11.02.2017 and 26.02.2017.It is essential to provide for prenatal care with standards preventing maternal and infant death, accessibility to birth and postnatal care services, access to health care services, coordination between the quality of health care service and service providing health institutions. The large part of maternal death is caused by postpartum haemorrhage and infections. Moreover, suicides resulting from postpartum puerperal psychosis are one of the death causes. The hospitalization of mothers for 1-3 days after birth is of great importance for maternal and new-born health. Turkey's baby mortality rate in 2014 was 11.1 per thousand, this rate is lower in Slovakia. The maternity units at the Bayburt State Hospital will be expanded in the near future. Therefore, qualified personnel will be needed. Because of this, 20 students from our nursing department will go to Slovakia for training on neonatal physiology and care. This will be period of 2 weeks. During these 2 weeks, our participants will learn about new-born care, new-born feeding, physical examination, swelling occurred after birth, cephalhematoma, Mongolian spot, milia, sucking reflex, Babinski's reflex and umbilical cord. At the end of the project, they will have experience in physiology and care.Natural disasters like hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and tornados; and unusual events caused by human action based on these have emerged in recent years. Destructions caused by unusual events have the followings in common: threat to human life and health, leading to social and economic losses. A new term and health field has been formed under the name of "unusual event medicine" regarding unusual events threatening human health. It was acknowledged that natural disasters are a reality of Macedonia; and people seek an answer on how to recover from natural disasters with minimum losses. For this reason, studies on natural disasters have been conducted for many years. 20 students from our emergency medical services department will go for 2 weeks to Macedonia for training on natural disasters, disaster management and planning. During this period, they will learn about disasters, factors influencing the magnitude of disasters, disaster classification, common features of disasters, natural disasters in the world and their importance, disaster management, disaster management stages, disaster management in the world, disaster and crisis management at national level, disaster and crisis management at provincial level. Thanks to this information, participants will be able to recover from any future natural disaster striking their city with minimum losses. The participants will receive preparatory training before the mobilities. During this period of preparation, necessary information will be given to the participants and the sense of the project will be set. The follow-up of students and detection of their interpretation abilities regarding acquired skills during the mobilities will enable us to understand the gained knowledge, skills and attitudes of participants; and project deliverables will be presented from this point of view. After the mobilities, project results will reach the masses through generalization activities; the realisation of similar projects will be possible andthe project visibility to all competent institutions and organisations will be provided. Making an inference on how beneficial this project will be to participants and other competent institutions-organisations will be possible during the assessment process.
