"Safe Drive Saves Life" is a youth exchange that elaborates rather interesting, innovative and new topic which relates to road violence prevention and response. The youth exchange will take place in Bitola, Macedonia and it is an international initiative in which involves 5 countries: Macedonia, Slovakia, Poland, Estonia and Romania. This project aims to educate 40 young people about the importance of Road Violence Prevention and Response, safe driving, prepare them about hazardous situations while on a trip and make them aware about the risks we are faced with in everyday life while involved in the traffic jam. The project initiative overlaps with the Road Safety Programme which aims to cut road deaths in Europe between 2011 and 2020 initiated by the European Commission, and is highly inspired by the current happenings in Macedonia related to the increased number of car accidents and lack of driving culture and driving rules obedience. GET INNOVATION Bitola aims to provide young people with certain knowledge about every field, and we have discovered with our partners that the problem of road violence prevention and response, and reckless conduct of drivers is a common problem in each of the participating countries in this project. The participants at this exchange will come from different countries and culture and will share their experience and opinions about the project topics. Many fields of our live make us responsible European citizens, and we consider that the respect of our life and being able to secure safety of other people involved in the traffic strongly relates to the concept of good European citizens. By this, during this exchange we will have the opportunity to debate more about the project topic, about the European values, laws and regulations related to safe driving. What makes the concept of this exchange even more interesting is the fact that the participants will have an opportunity to meet local experts, driving instructors and research deeper the importance of safe driving for themselves as well as for the community.
