The project submitted by the Auto Technical College "Traian Vuia" Focsani, entitled "Let us say YES to technology" aims at reaching the objectives established after formulating two of the strategic targets from the Institutional Development Plan. The first target envisages focusing the teacher on the specific behaviours of the organiser and mediator roles belonging to teaching experiences. The second target envisages improving the quality of education through the internationalisation of the school. Through this project we intend to: 1. develop new pedagogical approaches (with the use of the interactive whiteboard, mobile devices, social media, etc.); 2. develop the digital and linguistic competences of the participants; 3. create opportunities of continuous professional development; 4. understand the concept of internationalisation; 5. increase the attractiveness of the school within the community. The number of participants at the mobility activities - 7. These school staff belong to different curricular areas, being teachers both with longer and shorter teaching experience. The planned activities follow the natural pattern of a project and are as follows: 1. preparation activities - informing, documenting, selecting, preparing, organising the mobility; 2. mobility activities - 2 flows: flow no. 1, 29 August - 4 September 2015, flow no. 2, 20 June - 26 June 2016; 3. follow up activities - implementing, disseminating, evaluating. All the activities comprising the three stages of the project are accompanied by monitoring activities. The envisaged results: tangible - educational materials: scrapbooks, CDs, video tutorials, blog, etc. - an increased number of students from the urban area in the IX th form . intangible - an increased awareness of the mechanisms of European projects; - improvement of the digital, linguistic, social, intercultural competences - an increased job satisfaction. The new competences , as well as the acquired experience will contribute to developing a vision on the concept of internationalization. In the long run, the Auto Technical College “Traian Vuia” Focsani aims at an in-depth study of this concept, by identifying the tools, methods and ways to implement, monitor and assess, by organizing more and more activities so as to enhance the European and international dimension of our school institution. The total grant of the project is 14665 Euro. Let us change school through learning! Let us say YES to technology!
