The project "Knowing our roots " will be implemented in the period September 2016 - February 2017 in Slatina, county of Olt and is part of Erasmus + Program.The initiative to create this project belong to a group of three volunteers from rural areas of the association "Friends of man - humanism , culture ". Participating in a youth exchange in another organization , they presented us the lack of the ethno-cultural informations in their group.So we decided to conduct a study as the basis to create our project.36 young people from Romania , Bulgaria and Serbia will have as main objective during 10 days of the project , knowledge , promoting the potential of ethno - cultural and development ability intercultural dialogue by fostering creativity , achieved by means of non-formal learning : Storytelling , Living library , Labyrinth Theatre , Role Playing, Theater Forum and various games.Will benefit from improved knowledge on the importance of promoting and ethno cultural heritage protection , and through" creative workshop " will get information about old trades .The young participants in this project are aged between 16 and 21 years , six of them from rural areas. By joining in this project , young people will understand that protecting cultural treasure representing ethno- cultural diversity , protect their identity, will know their roots , so knowing the past will be able to prepare a better future for sure .This exchange of experience with young people using interactive non formal methods help us be closer to European culture and values, bringing a touch of good practice effectively.Following the creation of ties of friendship and cooperation between the young participants , will lay the foundation for new projects and mutual exchanges , which will definitely reflect positively on the involved NGOs and communities .
