« Open yourself to the culture and cultivation of our European neighbours » is a project set up by the “Maison Familiale” of Venansault, an established school in a rural area of the Vendée. This project is aimed at 24 volunteer pupils from two classes in their last year of a Vocational Baccalaureate in Farming technics.The objective is to send these students to three European Union countries, Wales, Belgium and Poland to have three-weeks work experience in farms.This mobility will be done in two periods (October 2016 and October 2017) and will answer the needs of these students to understand better Europe and to feel like a European Citizen.The objectives of this project are to allow the development of professional abilities of the pupils, a better capacity to adapt to different farming technics and as a result will help them improve their employability.The impact of this project on the pupils will give them better knowledge of the European Union, more tolerance of others cultures and improve their farming technics.The project should have a motivating effect on staff to look for individual training in Europe and the image of the school will be improved and noticed in events such as Open days or the General Assembly, Finally, active communication through social networks and local newspapers will, in the long-term, improve the European image of our school.
