Our project in the programme Erasmus+ called "The English for education" is aimed at expanding the education of teachers of our school. We are a medium-sized village school currently educating 222 students in 10 classes. We are also catchment school for the surrounding villages. We decided to apply for Erasmus +, since it offers a unique opportunity to expand the language level and other horizons. Teachers participating in this programme will increase their communication skills, personality skills and others. During the course abroad, they will broaden their vocabulary, practice grammar and most importantly they will get rid of the communication block and fear of speaking a foreign language. In this project, we are asking for three mobilities. We are planning to send two teachers from the primary school (classes from 1 to 5, age 6 to 11) and one from the secondary school (classes from 6 to 9, age 11 to 15). All three choosen teachers have wide experience with teaching a foreign language. The primary school teachers are on level A2 and B1, the secondary school teacher is on level C1. The mobilities are aimed not only to practice language skills, but also to gain new knowledge in the cultural, geographical and historical field. Teachers, during their stay abroad, will become familiar with the local landscape, historical and cultural sights and local inhabitants´ lifestyle. Teachers will also learn a lot of interesting information from and about the other course participants, who come from different world countries, helping them discover and understand other national customs, culture and religion. All these new information they will present to their colleagues, pupils and by using websites, school or village magazine they will transmit them to the general public. However, the main positive aspect is that all acquired knowledge will be implemented into the teaching content. These personal experience submitted to pupils will help them with understanding of other cultures and reduce xenophobic and racist feelings. They will also serve as a motivation and example for children that education and personal development are an indispensable part of life and provide positive experiences.Teachers´ language knowledge expansion will also help the gradual introduction of CLIL method into other subjects and expanding the range of English free time activities and courses offered to children of all ages, different talents and social position so that equal opportunity of education will be provided to everybody without any difference. Even children from remote villages or socially disadvantaged families could extend the possibility of learning a foreign language, for which they would, otherwise, have to travel to the town, which is unrealistic for most of them. Of course, an expansion of English language teaching will also support gifted children in their education.
