The objective is to develop a tourism cluster operating in the area of two provinces, whose target group consists of Russian tourists. The development of a reliable network between Russia and the provinces of East Uusimaa and Kymenlaakso will take place by developing training and co-operation. In the project, development work will take place with regional sales and marketing organisations and local tourism companies in both Finland and Russia.The objective is to raise the tourism delay as an average regionally by more than 2 days, to increase the level of tourism flows in the provinces of East Uusimaa and Kymenlaakso and to turn Russian tourists into the most significant group of foreign tourists in the provinces. As new products, the aim is to create summer cottage tourism agencies in both provinces. Another objective is to network regionally across provincial boundaries and to gain new short tourist seasons in the winter and spring.
