RURALpro (European Training Course for Future Professionals of Regional and Rural Development)

Responding to recognised economic and societal change in rural communities across Europe and targetting rural entrepreneurs and rural communities, the RURALpro project aimed at developing and testing an In-Service Training (IST) course on rural development for adult learning and adult teaching professionals. In addition to incorporating key elements on the practice (and theory) of sustainable rural development and the management of change, the developed IST course further considered the importance of networking and partnership as tools to support rural development.
