Rural intercultural
Date du début: 1 août 2015, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Children and youth in rural areas have very little contact with both intercultural and non-formal education, since both these fields are underdeveloped in rural areas, and foreign presence is almost non-existent. This underdevelopment brings also a lack of general interest from these fields, leaving these future adults without contact with 2 major factors present in modern Romania. We also noticed that the the “Scoala altfel” activities lack infusion of new methods, community work and means of realisation. Despite being supplied with IT technology through the Biblionet project, the rural libraries in dolj county have issues regarding heating in the cold season and are also challenged in developing local activities with the community, because of poor cultural participation in rural communities. We planned to address these needs through attractive activities based on non-formal methods realised with EVS volunteers support. This EVS project has as partners organisations from: CO, RO: Romania, SO: Turkey, Italy, Macedonia. Aim: developing the 8 key European competences of 7 young people, raising their employability, by volunteering in a project benefitting 4 rural and one urban communities promoting non-formal education, digital literacy, participation in democracy in Europe and the market of work, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity.
