The project The Development of Key and Professional Competences of English Teacher in the European School Plan is focused on the support of professional development and key competences of our pedagogue with the impact on learners, teachers of English and vocational subjects at secondary vocational school. Another expected impact is on English teachers in the Olomouc region in the field of English language teaching, the study of innovative curricula and educational methods. Acquired knowledge and skills will combine key personal and vocational professional competences. The outcomes of the training will gain and develop the language of presentations: roleplays, voice, posture, body language and confidence at business meetings, the language of meetings and negotiations: how to influence and persuade, to compromise, to be assertive and to solve a problem, socialising, interview and intercultural training , telephoning and video conferencing skills. The participant of the project will obtain key competences which extend beyond vocational border: social and methodological competences and competences of the relation to human identity. The training activity will develop a greater sensitivity to communication processes, heightened perception and more accurate intuition and it will provide more insight into who the teacher is and what her strengths, weaknesses and blind spots are. The project participant will extend and enrich the Business English knowledge and skills how to use it. Authentic materials and new gained methodological approaches will be presented just after the arrival at the meeting of the school Foreign Language Department, at the workshop for teachers from the Olomouc region and by publishing the record of stay in the MSSUA / AMATE Newsletter (Moravian Silesian Association of Teachers of English) in the nearest issue immediately after the course. Based on acquired skills the project participant will modify English background for foreign language part of school maturita exam. An experienced and involved teacher who includes the latest methods of teaching and uses updated vocational English will contribute not only to pupils but to vocational teachers too. The training will improve general and vocational competences needed for Europass. The aim of the project is the contribution to the enhancement of pedagogical qualification to be better used in the European job market with the multiplication effect to increase the quality of the educational process and attraction of the school for new students. It will create key conditions for international teacher development and partnerships between the school and institutions providing work placement abroad within the framework of European dimension.
