Riese gymnasium of Vilnius district was established in 1992. The gymnasium provides pre-primary, primary, and secondary education programs. With the growing number of students the school is constantly expanding and opening additional branches. Consequently, the school needs more and more skilled teachers. One of the project 'Riese gymnasium teacher training' goals is to improve the qualifications of teachers and staff, to modernize and improve teaching and learning process by searching for new training methods, to gain more knowledge, new competencies and skills in teaching children of different abilities. Another goal is to establish and maintain contacts with other international organizations, to learn from the experience of other countries, share valuable information and implement innovative ideas in Vilnius city and district. Participants of the project are four teachers of Riese gymnasium with little experience, but proactive, motivated, ambitious, seeking to gain new knowledge and expertise, wishing to advance their careers and to share lessons learned. To have a more diverse dissemination, participants are selected from different sectors of education (primary, basic and secondary). The main qualification course topics are 'Foreign Language Teaching', 'Creative Thinking', and 'Working with Children of Special Needs'. During the training the participants will not only deepen the theoretical knowledge, but also will have the opportunity to practice, observe and try different teaching methods and activities to work with mixed classes using the latest techniques and authentic materials. The project is implemented by the following steps: 1. The organization establishes project management group and a person responsible for the project (coordinator). 2. The project management group chooses teacher training courses according to the school's strategic plan, external audit and evaluation recommendations as well as needs of the gymnasium. 3. The project management group selects project participants for mobility activities in accordance with criteria meeting project objectives. 4. Preparation activities (agreements with project participants and receiving organization, the Europass CV / Europass Mobility document, travel, accommodation, and other issues, pedagogical and intercultural preparation). 5. Participation in the qualifying courses. 6. Final report (after mobility). 7. Acquired knowledge and experience dissemination (methodical days, reports, seminars, open lessons for teachers of the region, dissemination on eTwinning page). 8. Evaluation of the participants' achievements with the help of the gymnasium internal audit. 9. Lifelong benefits (continuous teacher training, continual exchange of information with other organizations, participation in international projects) Participation in the international project will certainly have an impact on the project participants' professional career, students, colleagues, the organization itself and other educational institutions. The participants will improve their competencies, linked to their professional profiles, will broader understanding of practices, policies and systems in education, training across countries. The acquired knowledge will enable to improve the experience of working with students of all abilities, improve curricula, teaching materials and a lesson itself. This will stimulate teachers and students' motivation, will increase the attractiveness of the lessons and raise the profile of the school. Sharing the results will enable other organizations to benefit from the activities and experiences of the Erasmus + Programme. Moreover, dissemination and exploitation activities will create new opportunities to extend the project and its results and develop new partnerships for the future.
