The reason for Launching one European Platform for promoting European dialogue, co-operation and innovation within schools in Europe, in Intercultural and Internationalisation fields, special needs education and combating early school leaving of pupils from migrant backgrounds, lies on the perception that there are important challenges that should be addressed on a cooperative approach, such as:- Challenges and opportunities posed by immigration and mobility within the EU- Providing pupils with quality education that equips them to take their place in globalised and multicultural societies- Making learning in Europe more equitable and attractive reducing early school leaving and improving pupils achievementThe Platform will develop new educational solutions: European research findings, Readiness for Intercultural Change Model, Gallery of Visual Resources and Intercultural and Internationalisation Strategic Plans for schools.Other outputs include: 6 European Training Sessions; 9 European Discussion Forums; Intercultural mediation outcomes; the European Intercultural Youth Day and Public event; Permanent intercultural exhibitions in schools; 3 European workshops; Common European position papers; Final Seminar, etc.The network will encourage the process of internationalisation and intercultural organizational change of schools in Europe wide, being cultural practices discussed openly by different social groups.It will enhance the development and acquisition of important competences and strategic options by pupils, teachers, school board, policy making bodies, parent's associations and other educational players, fostering innovation and best practice in Intercultural and Internationalisation education, with real impact on pupils, schools and local communities, in improving: school equity, attractiveness and prestige, social integration and cohesion, equal access to educational resources, prevention of early school leaving and special education support.
