Rhythm'n'peace
Date du début: 6 juin 2016, Date de fin: 5 oct. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Youth exchange "Rhythm'n'Peace"We, human beings are all different in many ways and can be identified according to many criteria: gender, age, sexual orientation, physical characteristics, origin, culture, religion, etc. Nowadays, the societies in Europe suffer from a growth of intolerance and racism since these differences between the people are often not valued as an asset but serve as bases for discrimination and lead to suspicion and rejection. It is in this frame that the Réseau Europ'Gard will organise the project "Rhythm'n'Peace" which will unite 25 youngsters coming from six different countries (Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Greece, Hungary) in order to exchange and work together on the different aspect of equality with the means of music and dance. The participants, aged between 18 and 30, will come from different social, cultural, economical backgrounds thus insuring the diversity and making the exchange highly enriching.By using non-formal education methods, the participants will have the possibility to exchange on the topic of gender equality, equality between the citizens as well as on the immigration and refugees. The participants will also have the opportunity to express themselves through music and danse workshops - created by themselves -, and also through debates, role plays and simulations. In order to give visibility to give visibility to our project and to raise the awareness of the topic among the general public, we will organise a charity performance based on the creativity of the participants at the end of the meeting. This activity will also make the youngsters more sensitive to the help of the people facing difficulties and will support a non-governmental organisation active in the field of immigration and refugees. The idea is, thanks to this project, to give the opportunity to the participants to develop their personalities, to learn more about the topic, about other cultures and countries, but also to become more open-minded and active citizens. The main objective is to give the necessary skills to the young people to recognise inequality, injustice, racism, stereotypes and prejudices as well as to prevent the violent radicalization of the youngsters. The partnership between the six organisation thus six countries allows to cooperate not only with partners with whom we have already worked but also with new partners. This will also give the opportunity to all of us to learn new non-formal education methods and new means to encourage the civic engagement. We believe that this project will have a real impact on the involved organisations and also on the local communities in each city of the partners. Finally, the project will have an impact especially on the attitude and on the competences of the youngsters who will be able to act as multipliers and will be empowered to create future projects in order to fight against discrimination, inequality and the radicalisation of their peers.
