ReWild Education with Lynx Vilden
Date du début: 31 déc. 2014, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our organization is based on Tonndorf castle which has medieval origins. It is now the home of an intentional community / ecovillage with 30 adults and 30 children. Together we create a place, where people can learn to live sustainably and in mutual support. Besides renovating apartments within the castle and its adjoining buildings we have also created places to work – as a biodynamic vegetable garden, an orchard, a beekeepers workshop, a catering kitchen, a forest-kindergarden and others. We design and offer different activities and programs for children up to adult people to get more involved/closed with the environment, with the nature around (Green Classroom, Wilderness Awareness...). We also offer concerts, markets, festivals, guided tours, seminars and workshops to about 7.000 people each year and there is a wide public interest in the project documented in many newspaper articles and tv-documentaries. Our organisation has no experience in ESD. Our organisation therefore needs qualified staff that can manage and organise different kind of ESD activities, ensure the quality of ESD projects and link them to our current activitiest kind of ESD activities, stimulate the streamlining of our activities with an ESD orientation and meet and exchange with international partners experienced in ESD Therefore our organization will promote qualified Staff, extends the Staff skills and learn new methods of learning, especially in the area of environmental education in dircection in ESD and pass it on. The courses proposed by the partner-organisation Paradiso Ritrovato will be practical, real-life experiences in nature representing great learning opportunities in ESD. It is the connection to something real and meaningful, a project that addresses the issues, needs and dreams of learners, that makes this kind of practical learning so meaningful. Our organization wants to delegate 3 members to a Paradiso Ritrovato course. They have a background in environmental education, ecology, Performing and Formative coming art and youth and adult education. Actually they visit a Wilderness Awareness programm to train their skills in terms of environmental adult education and the wilderness experience. These skills will be expanded with the Paradiso Ritrivato course, international experience and new methods and tools in the area of ESD / ESD will be implemented. The course should be founded through the Erasmus+ Programm under the Key Action 1 (Learning Mobility of Indiviuals) and named "ReWild Education with Lynx Vilden". The course is an intensive hands on wilderness living skills training, teaching how to harvest and transform the gifts of nature for everyday needs such as tools, fire, shelter, food in a conscientious and sustainable manner, as the ancients did. The project is divided in into three parts. The preparation phase (clarify the practical and logistical aspects of the project, establishing and applying the quality and management aspects, preparation of participants). The main phase of the action itself and the post-processing phase (evaluation of the action both internally and externally, dissemination of project results). Thanks to this course the participants will: -Increase knowledge in environmental education and their applications in teaching activities. Understanding the physical laws of nature, experiencing the inter-dependency in community living, and nurturing an appreciation for the Earth as a living organism we will learn how to integrate our culture into the landscape in a way that is regenerative rather than extractive. -Acquire basic practical skills based on ancient knowledge such as spatial awareness, engineering techniques, tools building, fire lighting, weaving cordage with natural materials in order to manage learning sessions in adult education. -Design affordable environmental education sessions for adults in order for people to learn to live sustainably. -Implement environmental education sessions for adults as form of therapy and leading to well-being. -Experience storytelling as learning tool in environmental education for adults. Stories will be used to explore and connect nature and historic human cultures. Storytelling involves participants physically, mentally and emotionally in the learning process in order to acquire information more easily and retain it longer. -Get to know and exchange experiences and practices in the field of adult education. -Bring back home supporting materials and tools to develop high quality projects in their own teaching activities. The course will enable participants to include key sustainable development issues into teaching and learning and implement participatory teaching and learning methods that motivate and empower learners to change their behaviour and take action for sustainable development.
