The project aims to promote, within a European network, the different aspects which form the common identity of salt-producing sites:- original potential for biodiversity, similar technical expertise, landscapes, histories.It sets in place the following work priorities:- improving the biological interest of the sites;- restoring the marshlands; - organising and structuring the profession;- creating a traditional salt-production culture along the Atlantic coast;- organising the transfer of knowledge;- increasing the tourist value of the Traditional Salt Marshes in the Atlantic Area; - a spatial approach to develop an integrated management system, and a communication and dissemination strategy.
