(POZNIGHT)
Date du début: 1 juin 2009,
Date de fin: 30 nov. 2009
PROJET
TERMINÉ
"The POZNIGHT project is the continuation of the Researchers’ Night projects of the past two years. Both Researchers’ Night projects of the year 2007 and 2008 were highly successful. The Researchers’ Night has become an important element of promoting Poznan researchers’ image. The POZNIGHT project sets new objectives. - The participation of children and young people from the rural areas of Wielkopolska region - thus those who do not have every day contact with researchers or universities. - the participation in the project of four great academic centres - the estimated participation of over 40 thousand people in the Researchers’ Night 2009 Until now the citizens of Poznan and its suburbs are those who visited the Researchers’ Night. The research on the impact of the Researchers’ Night on the scientist’s image has shown that the public from Poznan is highly interested in this subject and gradually changes its opinion on researchers, precisely under the influence of this event. Introducing the idea of the Researchers’ Night in the country will surely result in greater fascination for popular science and scientific problems. The Researchers’ Night is a recognisable brand. The year by year growing participation in the event shows that sightseeing and playing scientist at night is interesting. Therefore the organisers have increased the number of project partners and places destined to science games. Three main universities of Wielkopolska region, as well as the greatest education and research centre for Computing Science in Poland, will take part in the 2009 project. The development of the information campaign and the logistics of the event according to the plans will result in the participation of approximately 40 thousand people in the Researchers’ Night 2009 in Poznan. As Albert Einstein said:’The imagination is more important than knowledge’. Therefore, let the citizens of Poznan develop both their imagination and knowledge."
