Rechercher des projets européens

Rescuers of Nature
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project we want to carry out answers several objectives. First of all, we want our pupils to study environmental issues and how to foster social and ecological sustainability in Europe. The idea of a project about the environment comes from pupils and educational staff to improve the quality of life in our schools, in our towns and in general in the world around us. As it is commonly accepted, the world in which we live is in serious danger. Almost everyday we keep on grumbling about waste and polluted air but we do not do enough to reduce the amount of waste and pollution which is menacing our lives. With this project we want to give our contribution towards a better standard of life, we would like to educate the pupils, the parents, the educational staff, the local community about the importance of a healthy life and respect for the environment in which we live. We expect : -to develop students knowledge of environmental issues and to see confident young people who are more tolerant and sensitive towards nature, environmentalists and humanitarians. -to make students aware of the challenge that is faced when we damage our environment. -to study solutions and develop ideas in order to protect our environment. We want to combine this study on environmental issues and their solutions with a second main objectif : European cooperation. That's why we decided to associate high schools from four countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain). Our shared language is English but our final product will also be available in French, German, Italian and Spanish to support multilingualism and multiculturalism. This aspect of the project will be used : -to establish a sort of cooperation among the young people who live in different parts in the European community. -to cooperate with European schools to ensure the quality of education. -to develop students' responsibility about European and national patrimony. -to change students' and teachers' attitudes so they become active European citizens. -to develop linguistic skills in the different European languages, especially in English. -to encourage the development of new skills relevant to personal and professional life such as communication/presentation and team work so important for an integrated Europe. To finish, we also decided to create an attractive educational tool able to help pupils to improve their knowledge (in our case, mainly as we said before, about environmental issues) and to increase motivation for language learning (through innovative teaching methods). This tool is a role-playing game. We hope it will be a very useful means of communication among young pupils in the different European countries. The construction of the game should : - stimulate students' creativity. - improve student's competences related to interpersonal relationships, cultural awareness and artistic expression. - promote the take-up entrepreneurial experiences. - enable the pupils in the use of modern technologies. - stress the interconnection between education and the field of work (e.g. cooperation with compagnies) Our students are numerous (more than 180) and aged between 15-18 years. They will participate in activities carried out in this project which will be integrated as much as possible within the school program. Our methodology will be student centered and interactive. Teachers will take the role of guides, giving their students the tools or the information necessary for them to practise to the most. Students will attend video-conferences, interview professionals, and connect with students from other cultures and countries. Trips are also planned. Of course, other material as the printing press and libraries will also be important in our methodology. 2014-2015. After a first phase of presentation of the schools involved in the project, pupils will study environmental issues. They will present their data in various and thus interesting ways: short videos, pictures, gallery walks and a database will be produced for the game. 2015-2016. The game itself will be created. Pupils will prepare a booklet (including setting, rules, adventures, maps ...) using the database. 2016-2017. The game will be tested several times to improve its quality. High schools will modify their documents depending on the results of the trials. Finally, a folder containing the booklet of the game, useful school data and a summary of the three years of the project will be uploaded on websites at the disposal of the public. In addition to regular dissemination meetings, a final and more important exhibition will be organized to promote the game. Such a game can be used for years and customized if necessary. As it's available in five languages including English, it can reach international level of dissemination. We also hope that this Erasmus+ experience will create and maintain sustainable links between the partners to continue different bilateral student and teacher mobility.
