RES & EM ICT Tools - Renewable Energy Sources and Environment Management Friendly ICT Tools

The RES & EM ICT Tools project intends to raise awareness across a range of different target groups and future beneficiaries on the benefits of achieving sustainable development. The primary target groups for the project include key professional bodies, relevant authorities and energy users, trainers, producers and traders. The project aims to develop a dynamic, user-friendly e-training tool able to empower individual users to browse the latest technological developments relating to Renewable Energy Sources (RES) & Environmental Management (EM), further observing existing good-practice projects around the world.A range of products will be developed to include: interactive training materials for self-instruction (basic information on RES & EM plus a compendium and a series of 4 training modules -to be produced on CD-Rom); training materials and evaluation instruments (databases, questionnaires and a series of FAQs); an ICT training methodology (covering web-based / CD-Rom learning and e-mail interaction) and a dedicated website comprising an e-library. The 4 training modules on production, trading, implementation and guidance, will be produced at three separate levels (basic, average and advanced) and will be produced in EN and partly in the additional partner languages (NL, DE, EL, ES & RO).The dissemination strategy uses each project partner as a vector/promoter and plans to make use of workshops and seminars, an international conference on RES/EM, computer-based communication (videoconferencing, e-mail, collaborative sessions) and through presentation of the results of the project to relevant press and journals to the sector.
