The counties of Bihor and Hajdú-Bihar not only share similar economical, social, demographical, and cultural ties, but, at the same time, are also renowned for their religious diversity. For many centuries, a number of congregations co-existed here in harmony, from Orthodox, Greek and Roman Catholic to Reformed and other protestant cults, just to name a few. Their diversity is best reflected by their uniquely amazing architecture, and the richness of decor and interiors employing several styles.With this in mind, Bridge intends to boost cultural-religious tourism in Bihor and Hajdú-Bihar counties by introducing some of these particular church buildings into the international tourism circuit. To this end, complex restorations and consolidations will be carried out in several locations.In Oradea, the "Biserica cu Lună" (including "Biserica Buna Vestire" and Sf. Duh Mângâietorul), "Biserica Reformată Oraşul Nou", and "Biserica Româno-Catolică din Cetate" will undergo some crucial construction and repair works (e.g. roof repairs, painting, water, sewerage and heating systems, architectural works, changing stained-glass windows, restoring furniture, electricity, telephone and internet). In addition, a religious complex - museum will be established in the memory of the bishop Roman Ciorogariu in the C building of the "Biserica cu Lună".In Körösszegapáti, the Romanian Ortodox Church building will be renovated. The organ of the Reformed Church from Hajdúböszörmény, and of the Roman Cathlic Church of Orosháza will undergo some vital restoration work as well.
