REINFORCING FAMILY BONDING: INTERNATIONAL TRAINING OF BEHAVIOURAL AND AFFECTIVE EVIDENCE BASED INTERVENTION AGAINST EARLY ADOLESCENTS RISK BEHAVIORS (RFB_IT_BAI_EARB)
Date du début: 15 déc. 2009, Date de fin: 14 déc. 2011 PROJET  TERMINÉ

"The present proposal is aimed at increasing the expertise of the researcher in the field of prevention against drug use and problem behaviours in adolescence. For this purpose, the researcher is supposed to go to the Orebro (Sweden) University to learn about two kinds of prevention programs against problem behaviours in adolescence. Both of them are tested to be effective in preventing youth’s internalizing and externalizing problems. They are focused on family, even though they are based on different theoretical principles. As they are tested prevalently in North Europe and US countries, this proposal will allow to transfer this knowledge to the South Europe and find out what are the best way to implement them in different countries. Indeed, one of the goal is to learn about those programs in order to implement them in the origin country of the researcher (Italy). Specifically, the training in the host country will include a phase of learning and a phase of supervision of the results obtained in Italy. In the first phase, the researcher will be taught about the content of the programs. Moreover, it will be discussed together with Orebro staff the best way to implement such programs in a different country such as Italy. In the second phase, the researcher will be taught about new techniques to analyse data. This knowledge will allow to evaluate what program is more effective in decreasing problem behaviors. Particularly, it will be possible to know what components of these programs are more effective. The goal is to find a way to integrate these kinds of programs in order to augment their effectiveness. This proposal is of relevance for Europe as it will allow to experiment new kinds of prevention programs in European areas that are not reached by this knowledge. Moreover, the study of the best solution between different kind of interventions to prevent drug use and problem behaviours might provide instruments that will make prevention more effective."
