The REHAB IN BCF project will involve preparation of a methodological guide for architects, principals and final users (residents, associations of users and tenants) concerning a methodology for the planning and design of renovation projects taking account of new skillsin the field of (a) urban renewal and (b) renewable energies. The final product will be a methodological guide (on CD-ROM) on how to upgrade disadvantaged areas, while taking account of the social, environmental and urbanistic dimensions. It will be illustrated with examples of good practices on innovative renovation projects (urban renewal and renovation; renewable energies and design of environmentally high-quality dwellings) in three EU countries, transferable to other European countries or applicant countries.The main target groups will be persons involved in renovation projects and members of residents' associations or federations, and local authorities active in this area. The project results will be disseminated via a campaign in the specialist press, the Internet sites of the different partners and a series of conferences which will be organised throughout the project's lifetime.
