Regional training on innovative entrepreneurial spirit development among rural youth women

This project is meant to significantly achieve two objectives: to enhance the spirit of initiative, entrepreneurship and self-empioyability among 1,500 disadvantaged rural youth woman aged 16-28 and to upgrade the in-house entrepreneurship capacity building know-how of local partners in Kenya, Bangladesh and Fiji.To accomplish these objectives the following activities are foreseen: The implementation of three National Training Programmes in Nairobi (Kenya), Suva (Fiji) and Dakha (Bangladesh) addressed especially to two types of beneficiaries: 500 rural youth woman from 16-28 years old (among rural youth women, members of woman associations, and women delegates of locaUassjocJatLons^and-ŽO-local-promising—youth-(selected by partner associations) who will be trained by a team of WNYLE's experts as youth entrepreneurship trainersThe project intends to benefit in total 1500 rural youth woman and to train 60 local youth entrepreneurship trainers. A following-up strategy with local partners will be implemented each six months to measure the level of impact of the project in terms of. number of entrepreneurial initiatives undertook, number of successful entrepreneurial initiatives undertook, number of jobs created, average income of newly created jobs, number of local training programmes organized by partner and number of participants. The identification of major constraints during entrepreneurial implementation will also be included.The outputs of the project will be fully disseminated by WNYLE' in two dimensions: At the local level partner organizations will replicate the experience organizing local entrepreneurship courses in five major cities every year. At the international level WNYLE isto produce and disseminate a video-documentary to highlight the 'best practices' and learning experiences resulting from the project. Both WNYLE and partner organizations will make sure that local and international media are fully reported on the experience through: organization of info-sessions, press releases and media interviews. WNYLE's will provide their internet platform to allow the interactive networking for partner organizations and all beneficiaries.The successful implementation of this project relies on the WNYLE's expertise in the field of youth leadership and youth innovative entrepreneurship, the support of VIF (Lithuania) and the collaboration of selected partner youth associations in Kenya, Bangladesh and Fiji.
