REGIOCOM - Valorisation interrégionale des politiques de promotion des fruits et légumes du Sud de l'Europe (REGIOCOM)
Date du début: 31 déc. 2003, Date de fin: 29 juin 2007 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The development of regionalisation has gone hand in hand with a significant reinforcement of regional identities. Nevertheless, certain major issues require global responses with regards to the globalisation of markets, distribution, and consumer attitudes towards food, which are leading to reduced consumption of fruit and vegetables. To counteract this trend, many promotion actions have been conducted, although they have not been coordinated correctly. By deciding to cooperate, the partner regions wish to quickly establish more efficient tools that are capable of bringing together the chosen actions. Overall objective / Objectif général The objective is to create -through the analysis of good practices developed by partners- new and more efficient methods for exchanging and collaborating on fruit and vegetable promotion policies. The new approaches will reinforce efficiency, assure better cohesion of promotion actions developed with professionals from the sector, and define new communication strategies. Expected results / Résultats attendus Expected results include the dissemination of good practices among partners, and the development of new approaches to operational communication policy for promotion actions conducted by partners and professional organisations. These results are likely to produce the following impacts: • better understanding among partners and reinforced interregional cohesion; • more coherence and efficiency for regional communication policies and enhanced image for the regions; • reinforcement and better management of the fruit and vegetable sector, through better coordination with professional organisations and increased efficiency of promotional actions; • an approach that can be applied to domains other than that of fruit and vegetables and that can be undertaken by other regional authorities.
