Welcome a EVS volunteer, why? It's a good way to open our field of activities and, throught the project developed, to promote a kind of cultural and social openness among young people frequenting the leisure center . Indeed, the EVS mission would be to get involved in partnerships with local youth services and encourage the development of common projects on the Base de Loisirs of Bois-le-Roi, in the context of allow young people from different cities to meet, through the practice of physical activity. We use sports as educational and social support in order to encourage citizen behavior (respect of each other and game rules, social rules, commitment...), good hygiene practices. Moreover, the common experience lived by young people who do not know each other, would be a vector of exchanges enable to promote young people’s initiatives and mobility for young people with fewer opportunities (Partner structures from Cities situated in "Zones Urbaines Sensibles" (french policies for disavantaged urban areas) Why the project "Shared views on the skate planet" Despite of free access at the skatepark, free riding activities are hardly accessible to young people from disavantaged urban areas because of the equipment prices, the sport technical difficulties...). In the same way, photography is a cultural activity really important in skateboard culture. At this time of new information and communication tecnologies, photography's an attractive support to open artistic interest of young people. The local structures will select 15 to 20 young participants interested in skateboard and photography, even beginners. They'll have to show strong motivation to take an active part in the project during the whole school year, to cooperate with other young people, and to open up to different cultures and countries. Association's coordinators and SVE dynamism will be determinant to convince them! EVS' impact on young participants of the project "Shared views on the skate planet" EVS commitment on this project is a plus. Indeed, skateboard and photography are a first step to developp youth exchanges in France and abroad. It also helps to open young people to european citizenship, tolerance and friendhsip.
