Date du début: 1 mai 2015, Date de fin: 30 sept. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Context ?Recycle for Better 2020? connected two interdependent aspects that must be encountered in the educational training of each individual: the active citizenship involvement and the involvement through the selective was collection process. The innovative aspect of our project lies in the fact that we believe that protecting the environment through the selective waste collection is an issue closely related to active citizenship. Our youth exchange responds to the acute need of the EU countries to involve young people in society and increase the rate of waste collection by at least 30% by 2020. Through an informal framework the participants of this project will understand, acquire and develop skills, abilities and positive attitudes for an active engagement in society and for environmental protection through the selective collection of waste for recycling. General aim: We organized a Youth Exchange which brought together 45 young people from 6 countries between 22 June - 1 July 2015 in Costinesti (Romania), in order to promote the connection between active citizenship and protection of the environmental through selective waste collection systems and waste reuse. Objectives: Preparation stage: We prepared our participants for the intercultural activities. We informed the interested parts and mass media about the project; We solved the logistical and practical aspects; Implementing stage: We created an exchange of information, ideas and skills about the connection between active citizenship and selective waste collection; we implemented a promotional strategy and we disseminated the results among the local population, tourists and small entrepreneurs. Finalization stage: We offered the participants the certificate with the acquired competences (YouthPass) and we involved them in the dissemination process of the project results. Number and the profile of the participants: This youth exchange included 36 participants aged between 18 and 30 years old from the following countries: Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, Italy, Turkey and Slovakia. 18 of them was represented by young people with fewer opportunities facing geographical difficulties, coming from rural areas. In order to select the participants, the promoters respected the principle of non-discrimination and took into account the gender balance. Alongside the participants, this exchange also included 9 group leaders who were involved in the facilitation of the exchange and made sure that the learning process of the young people went on as planned. Activity description: The implementation of the activities took place between 22 June ? 1 July, in the youth resort Costine?ti (on the Black Sea coast of Romania), aspect which created our participants a proper environment for such activities. This location facilitated the dissemination of the project results at national level, among the target group of young people aged between 18 and 25 years old. Methodology: For fulfilling the activities we used participative nonformal educational methods such as: energizers, role play; questionnaire; anonymous method of nonformal evaluation; learning by doing (experimental method); reflection sessions; individual learning; active participation in a group; public presentations. Impact and results: This exchange contributed to the personal development of the participants by influencing them of being aware of the connection between active citizenship and selective waste collection. The participants created containers for selective collection and interacted with the tourists, locals and YOUNG entrepreneurs in order to promote the importance of selective collection system and to inform them about our project and about Erasmus+ programme. Long-term beneficial results: On a long term this exchange aimed to create positive effects at local community level and also at national and european level by contributing to the development of active citizenship. Simultaneously, our exchange contributed to the objectives of Erasmus+ programme. The project also contributed to persuade young participants to actively involve in the process of selective waste collection. Thereby, our participants helped to the environmental objectives of the selective waste collection set up for 2020.
