REAL INTERCULTURAL LEARNING IN YOUTH EXCHANGES

29 participants (youth leaders / youth workers will take part in this educational activity.Throughout whole project duration impact and multiplying effect will be made on several levels: Participants – will significantly improve their youth work competences, particularly in dealing with intercultural learning during youth exchanges and using group dynamics (supporting and mentoring group dynamic process) as a tool for high quality intercultural learning and personal development of young people.Participants also will explore and understand links and connections between intercultural competence and it's application in other settings - critical thinking on current European refugee crisis and possibilities to co tribute towards greater understanding of interculturality and it's positive aspects as well as transferring the common fundamental values of our society particularly to the hard to reach young people and preventing violent radicalisation of young people.Developed intercultural competence is also a game changer in labour market. As described before, we see intercultural competence as one of the main factors for effective adaptation and ability to work in different contexts and cultural realities. If to put it a bit philosophical - each individual, company, organization, community is a separate culture - developed intercultural competence enables young people to be more adaptive and pro-active during job finding (and working) in various realities (home based and abroad).Participants will gain skills in developing educational programmes for young people based on non-formal learning principles and applying different tools for developing intercultural competence during youth exchanges. This will dramatically increase their ability to design good quality youth projects, motivation and ability to cooperate with participants from other cultures/countries and their organizations; participants’ work in future will become more based on European values and methodologically grounded.Participants ability to provoke, support and facilitate a quality group dynamic process will enable them to work with development of young peoples personal, interpersonal and professional competencies at a higher level, which also can easily be adapted not only for their direct working with young people in their organizations.Partner/participant’s organizations – they will have resource people in their working environment that will create run new or upgraded educational programmes for young people on intercultural learning and development of intercultural competence based on non-formal learning principles. Participants of this training course will become a multipliers within their organizations, they will share and train other colleagues on basics of non-formal learning and working on development of intercultural competence, also increasing their employability. Participants of the training course will also inform their colleagues and partner organizations about possibilities in youth field that exist on international level, bring their organizations and colleagues new contacts and partnerships.Young people (especially fewer opportunity youth) – will receive benefits from improved quality of youth work, particularly work on development of intercultural competence in youth organizations, also during implementation of international projects, which means that there will be more opportunities created for involvement and participation of youth in high quality educational activities (local and international). In the result of participation in the programmes of non-formal education and development of ICC, young people will improve their personal and social competences, identify their learning needs, more easily plan future career development, thus becoming more employable at the labour market.
