The "Ready for diversity" project will be implemented by the Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Centre, in partnership with five sending organizations from Germany, Spain, Austria and Portugal, through the Erasmus + Programme. The main activity of theproject will include an EVS volunteering stage for 6 youth from the countries mentioned, with a duration of 12 months (September 2016 - August 2017).The project aims to promote the involvement of volunteers in public institutions (hospitals and schools) and help to promote volunteering in general and European Voluntary Service specifically. At the same time, the project is designed in a manner that facilitates the personal and professional development of the 6 EVS volunteers by providing necessary support system but also by gradually increasing the degree of independence in activities, depending on the volunteers' wishes and needs.Volunteers will be involved in clinic animation activities in various sections of the children's hospital in Cluj-Napoca. At the same time they will organize non-formal education activities in a multicultural club for primary school students from three rural communities around the city (Floresti, Tureni and Sînpaul). In the second part of the period, volunteers will prepare public events to promote volunteering in the National Volunteer Week (May 2017) and will focus on implementing their own ideas into the local community through personal projects.The whole learning process of the volunteers will be based on methods of non-formal education, designed to encourage volunteers' awareness towards learning and their responsibility towards the achievement of personal learning objectives.
