REACTION - Recognition and Accreditation of Experiential Learning - A Way for Better Accessibility of Adult Education

Whilst it is increasingly important to recognise the experience that adults gain in both their professional and personal lives, there is little evidence of the validation, recognition and accreditation of such learning within formal education circles. The REACTION project aimed to address this through gathering information on, and identifiying common principles for, the recognition and accreditation of experiential learning and through creating a common recognition model enabling tertiary (and other) education institutions to recognise and validate the knowledge and skills gained through experiential learning. The key output for the project comrpises a model for the recognition and validaiton of experiential learning.
