TERMINÉ
The EVS project will include us as applicant and the Chabibeh Club, Lebanese partner. We would like to send 2 EVS volunteers to Lebanon fduring August and September 2015. The volunteers will be engaged during August in the Summer Day Camp that Chabibeh Club organizes every summer and in the weekly sports activities (September 2015) which includes a special event celebrated every year, The International Peace Day .
The summer day camp involves children and young people between 6 and16, who take part in sports trainings (Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Martial Arts) in addition to friendly games and competitions, and trips and outings. The camp is done in July and August of every summer. The weekly sports activities start in September of every year and end in June (running in parallel with the academic year). Children and young people are offered sports training twice per week, and participate at friendly and official games and competitions. In addition, young people from the age of 12 start to be engaged in the Youth Department activities with main themes that include: Volunteering, Active Citizenship, Personal Development, Youth Empowerment and Life and Soft Skills.
Every year on 21 September, Chabibeh Sporting Club celebrates the International Peace day through a day of friendly competitions in different sports. Players and teams from different clubs are invited to this day, which has every year a special Peace theme. The event is covered by media and is shared by the PeaceOneDay organization worldwide through its network.
We and Chabibeh are planning to send 2 volunteers and offer them the opportunity to be engaged in a summer day camp, in weekly sports activities and in the preparation and implementation of a big event.
The objectives of this EVS project are:
