Our English team includes new collegues, with different working backgrounds, who have relatively little experience in teaching. We would like to increase the quality of our teachers' work, improve language teaching skills, and their overall competence as teachers through targeted mobility programs. This will also improve the overall quality of tuition in our school. Through innovative and creative teaching methods, including the usage of new IT tools and technologies, the skills, competencies and knowledge of the English language will be improved in different fields, and particularly improve the students' international awareness. Two teachers will be participating in the project. The main activities will include two courses, one for each teacher, which will involve creative and innovative teaching methods. They will also include the usage of new material and new technologies to raise the quality and improve the performance of the students. The language skills will also be improved. Another major goal of the project is to build contacts and establish a network with partnering European schools and their teachers. The aim of the project is to build the intercultural competencies of the participants, and acquisition of international teaching methods. The teachers are to use the acquired skills and use of new IT teaching tools in their tuition. They will also show their colleagues teaching different subjects what they have learned and share the knowledge with them.The aim is to cooperate with teachers also of different subject areas to make the most of the learned skills. By participating in the program, the teachers will be able to learn more about state-of-the-art teaching methods in an international context. They will also broaden their horizon and deepen their understanding of modern approaches to teaching. The acquired skills are to support the students in their development and raise the awareness of European values. In the long run, an international network of contacts with European partner schools will be developed in order to exchange "lessons learned" and experience. There will also be an internet platform for the exchange of ideas and experience to improve the language and cultural knowledge of teachers and students alike.
