QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE EUROPEAN BAKERY INDUSTRY
Date du début: 1 févr. 2012,

The project Q-BAKE responds to the needs stated by a number of bakery companies for industry-oriented training for their workers. All RTDs presenting this proposal have a close relationship with the industry and have been providing technical training to the sector for a number of years. The changes in industrial and technological processes occur very rapidly and it is difficult for the companies and the workers to obtain and maintain the necessary professional profile. This project presents an innovative training solution, by engaging the technology experts with the companies, through the relevant associations, in order to match the industry needs with a specific qualification programme. The main outputs of the project are: an analysis of the specific needs of the companies in terms of industrial bakery knowledge, a model for engagement between the industry and the RTDs for a rapid response in training needs and training design, the development and validation of specific training materials and programme, a workshop to enable the trainers exchange methodologies and information and, finally, the transfer of the project results to the official VET providers in each participating country. As for the training materials, after receiving feedback from several companies about the trainees’ profile, they will include a theoretical corpus developed in classroom sessions and practical activities in pilot plant, reproducing the latest technological trends in the industry. Complementary on-line material will be developed according to the needs analysis results. The impact envisaged by the project will reach the whole of the industrial bakery companies and will benefit all their workers in terms of providing the companies with specific training programmes for their workers, enabling them to enrich their qualifications as well as increase their employability, and strengthening the cooperation among RTDs, professional associations, companies and workers.
