Qualification Network for Austrian Companies in Romania

The general objective of the project is the adaptation, setting-up and piloting of a qualification network for Austrian companies in Romania. Within this context, the network member companies will reunite as if in a cluster, and will receive complementary support for carrying out internal training needs analyses and developing subsequent qualification plans, liaising with adequate training providers as well as for the actual planning of staff trainings and accessing of corresponding nonreimbursable financing sources if available. Last but not least, communication and cooperation instruments will be set up with a view to also ensure a know-how transfer from Austria to Romania on how to efficiently manage a network partnership. Achievements: The project aimed at supporting Austrian companies in Romania with boosting competitiveness of their personnel, by setting up of a qualification network (Qn) in Bucharest. A Qn is a cluster-like alliance of at least 3 companies that share the common goal to increase the professional level of their mployees, by means of jointly planning and implementing corresponding training measures.The project was finalized in January 2015, and benefited from financial support from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, and Consumer Protection as well as from technical assistance granted by the consultancy company ÖSB Consulting GmbH and its Romanian daughter company LMS Consulting SRL.Ten Austrian companies in Romania joined the Qn, which was set up in december 2014. extensive consultancy measures (organizational culture and training needs analyses, identifying and liaising with training providers) have been carried out throughout the project aiming at laying the foundation for future joint initiatives to access eSF financing for trainings.
