Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 30 juin 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

"Put yourself in my shoes - Training Course for Youth Workers" is a project that will take place between September 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 and it is part of the inclusion strategy developed by the entity from the youth and associative development department. ASPAYM Castilla y León has been working for years to promote the inclusion of young people with disabilities in our community. In this regard, activities to promote advocacy and standardization are organized in order to promote inclusion rather than integration. The initiative "Put yourself in my shoes" is carried out in schools and youth centers of Castilla y León since 2013 and over 5000 youngsters in the region have already participated. In addition, since 2015, ASPAYM Castilla y León has begun to participate in European seminars and courses to offer young people in the region more opportunities, both in its current and future leisure development. Following this line of work, the project "Put yourself in my shoes - Training Course for Youth Workers", which seeks to train youth workers and / or youth leaders to know the peculiarities of working with young people with disabilities, is the next phase in the mentioned strategy. The aim is to provide youth workers and / or youth leaders the necessary tools to foster the inclusion of young people with disabilities in leisure activities organized in their communities. In this way, they can use the new skills learned as a methodology or set of tools to include in their daily work. This will enable the institutions of the European Union to reach more young people and to contribute to achieve the Europe 2020 Strategy, which calls for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth.Youth workers and / or youth leaders from Spain, Turkey, Slovakia, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Lithuania and Latvia will participate between 19 and 24 February 2017 in Cubillos del Sil, León, in a training course with the aim to provide them with the necessary toold to work with young people with disabilities and to facilitate their inclusion in youth activities in their community. In this sense, the main activity is raised to be 24 participants, 3 from each country of the entities involved as partners in the project. The methodology chosen to develop the dynamics included in the training course combines the theoretical small introductions to the issues addressed in each case with a practical component based on the experiences of participants and entities involved. In addition, they will develop dynamic as the "Fair quality for inclusion projects" or "design of activities for inclusive projects" that will allow participants to acquired the knowledge to facilitate their work once they return to their countries of origin. It has also opted for self-evaluation combined with the group evaluation as a way to ensure that participants get the most out of the course and assimilate well all information provided. The expected impact we want to achieve with the project "Put yourself in my shoes - Training course for youth workers" is the develop of more inclusive activities in the communities involved, thanks to a new methodology that enables them to develop dynamic accessible to all young, regardless of whether they have any limitations. Young people with disabilities will be able to actively participate in their community without encountering any leisure barrier. In this way, they can feel more confident, empowered to do what they propose and to develop their personal skills. This will result in greater personal and / or professional opportunities for the future and will help to reduce unemployment among young people with disabilities. In the case of young people without disability, through this project they will get to improve their awareness of the problems of the others, be more tolerant and show a more open and inclusive point of view with regard to young people in their community. For the community, we hope to have a positive impact that favors a more open and tolerant mind that enables all young people to participate in leisure activities everyday regardless of whether they have a disability or not. We also expect to report on the Erasmus + program and the possibilities offered by both young people and society as a whole, and its role to meet the needs of young people in our territory.
