PROYECTO OPEN: Mejorando las competencias intergeneracionales e interculturales en la educación de adultos

Asociación Moviéndote is a non-profit organisation that since its foundation aspires to open to the world, learn, detect apprenticeship opportunisties and create networks. With the aim of improving the quality of our traning programmes for adult learners and of seizing the possibilities brought by international cooperation, we carried out an internal process of reflection and analysis, identifying the main obstacles that we face when implementing our activities. We identified three improvement areas: 1. We need to design intergenerational educative and volunteering programmes, allowing to seize the potential of both collectives (young people and seniors). It is necessary to know more and better about working methodologies that proved sucessful and provide us with the resources to design integrating and motivating experiences. 2. We need to improve the intercultural competences of our staff as, both in our European activities and, more andmore, in our daily training experiences, we find diverse groups and contexts that require basic intercultural competences. 3. We need to improve our staff language skills as most of them count on a intermediate level of skills command but are limited due to the lack of practice opportunities and resources for an immersion in working contexts that facilitate the language This project intends to provide our staff with learning opportunities that will be reality in two mobility activities: - One flow for 2 participants that will receive training on wokring methodologies and design of intergenerational programmes, that will allow us to design more integrating and motivating learning experiences. - One flow for 2 participants that will receive training on interculturality management in educational environments, specially focused on adults educations. Moviéndote objective is to open participating in these training experiences to as many staff members as possible, and to organise reflexive and transfer periods once each mobility is compelted so we can achieve direct impact on all the staff and the whole organistaion. We understandad that the participation in these training activities will contribute to improve our staff professional competences and, consequently to improve the quality of our training activities for adult learners. On the other hand, project management and organisation will also contribute our practice on european projects and we hope that in the short term we will increase our collaboration with other European orgnisations in our fields of work.
