Group EVS Proud on Pride will gather 10 volunteers from 5 different countries (Italy, Spain, France, Croatia and Slovakia). In the period before the Pride they will be involved in the program of the Festival Pride Parade. Typical task for volunteers will be preparation of facilities prior to events, technical + logistical support during and after each event, communication with participants at events, hosting and logistical support, communication on social media about event, promotion and reports for English speaking audiences, basic administrative support, like keeping participants lists and logistical support during the Pride parade. Participants will gain competences in group work, working in multicultural environment, increasing the level of foreign language, communication with participants, technical competences and logistical competences. They will get the knowledge about Project management (ex. how to manage smaller 1 day events like exhibitions, concerts, parties). They will gain competences in LGBTQI+ tourism and promotion (how to set up and be a guide of an English speaking LGBTQI Guided Tour of Ljubljana).They will gain the knowledge about social media (how to write texts for different social media and for different target audiences, how to film short movies and use editing programs).They will get the training before the program starts, so they will be already trained and able to improve their competences. They will work in 3 subgroups, due to their interest. This EVS is especially dedicated to the youngsters, who are coming from LGBTQI groups, but everybody with an open mind and open heart is welcome. Individual EVS project Proud on Pride will host one volunteer from the Netherlands. Ljubljana Pride Parade is changing the concept of Parade and is organizing Festival Pride Parade this year. In the light of these changes, we want to enrich our program with the EVS volunteers, since there is 20 years of EVS this year and we would like to encourage more young people coming from LGBTQ + community to actually experience European Voluntary Service. The role of the volunteer will be organisation of a variety of events, preparation of promotional texts for these events, designing flayers, record events and production of short movies from different activities. He will also formulate a promotional video for the EVS, which will encourage young people to become more involved in mobility projects, that are supported through Erasmus+. At the same time, we are leaving open space for the personal project of the volunteer, as has already expressed some of his ideas and we are fully supporting him in that manner. The volunteer will during his voluntary service strengthen inter cultural competences, communication in foreign languages, digital competences, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship skills and mathematical competences.
