Propagace v EU
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 30 nov. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project “Advertising in the EU” is to be implemented over the period of 15 months, starting on 1 September 2016. It will provide 24 students of our school with experience in the domain of graphics in advertising and promotional graphics, media planning, and marketing communications. The participants of the project will be selected from the second, third, and fourth year of the Business Academy study programme specializing in Promotional Graphics and Media and Communications. The students are between 15 and 20 years of age. During the selection process we will not discriminate on the grounds of the students’ gender, age, or the socioeconomic background – they will all have an equal chance to succeed. The internships will take place in Portugal, in the city of Barcelos. Our partner organization will be A.I.A.M., a non-profit Portuguese organization with long-standing experience with the implementation of Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus+ mobility projects. The project will be divided into 3 cycles. The first one will take place in the autumn of 2016, the second one in spring of 2017, and the last one in the autumn of 2017. The offices of the advertising and communications agencies where the internships are to take place – Chapa 5, Indot, and Explora Ideias – are located in Barcelos. The participants will be chosen in a selection process with clearly defined criteria. It will be our first time participating in the Erasmus+ programme. To make the evaluation of the outcomes and the internship’s eligibility for recognition easier, and to clarify the mutual expectations of the outcomes, we have decided to incorporate the ECVET principles into the project. Therefore the participants will have to perform such tasks during their internship so as to acquire the skills, knowledge, and competences necessary to fulfil the requirements of the unit of learning outcomes called “Graphic Arts and Media Production in a Communications and Advertising Agency”. Upon the fulfilment of these requirements their internships will be formally recognized with note on their school report. The internships will be certified by the Europass Mobility certificate (in English). The internship designed for our students will involve, among others, the following range of activities: promotional graphics, working with texts and photographs, preparation of multimedia presentations, page construction, communication planning, preparation of the price list, and preparation of POS materials (DL flyers). The students will profit from this work experience upon entering the job market after having graduated from our school. When planning the project we have proceeded from the premise that today’s media and advertising market demands graduates with sufficient practical skills, a general overview of what is going on in the business, and sufficient language skills. Good knowledge of English is a necessity. In Portugal, the students will work in advertising and communications agencies, where they will take part in the daily routine tasks – they will prepare promotional materials, work with graphics software, edit photographs, prepare internet presentations, or prepare DL flyers for the agency’s customers. The students will be monitored, also with respect to complying with the ECVET principles and the Memorandum of Understanding. Once the students return to Zatec, a project evaluation meeting will take place. Based on the outcomes of this meeting we will be able to either adjust the project, or follow up with other activities. Successful practises will be incorporated into our curricula. Our students, prospective students, the school’s partners, and the general public will be informed of the project outcomes. Information about the Erasmus+ programme will be utilized and its Graphic Design User Guide will be complied with. The long-term contribution of this project consists especially of the experience attained by the participants. Their entrance into the job market will thus be made easier, therefore they will later make a positive contribution to the economy of the Zatec region. The long-term contribution for our school is that starting with this project we are trying to give a stronger international dimension to our activities as we will endeavour to offer similar projects to our students in the future.
