The project “Young Citizens of Armenia”aims at promoting autonomy, initiative taking and critical awareness in young Armenians within the over-arching goal of creating a stronger and more participative democratic society in Armenia. The volunteer will be involved in the main youth program on active citizenship of the Foundation (Young Citizens of Armenia). The volunteer will participate to assist the staff and the local volunteers in following activities: - daily organizational tasks of Espaces centre of the Foundation; - creative, artistic, administrative and technical support; - weekly team meetings to generate ideas and strategies about the overall activities; - improving the overall quality of youth activities of the centre and making them more attractive to young people; - maintenance and promotion the website of the Foundation (development of website articles, in English if possible, taking photos, preparing banners and other graphic design); - together with other EVS volunteers setting up of possible common youth activities between two centres of Foundation; - implementation of “Young Citizens of Armenia” project Objectives 1) to develop critical thinking in young Armenians and create an awareness of social, political and economic issues in Armenia and the world; 2) to assist the self-directed learning of Armenian young people, using non-formal education techniques; 3) to encourage and develop autonomous decision making and initiative in young Armenians offering positive role models for action in different fields; 4) to encourage civic participation in young Armenians; 5) to contribute to the development of E-culture and effective usage of information and communication technologies in educational process in Armenia; 6) to expose Armenian young people to different cultures through communication and cooperation with international volunteers involved in the project. In all theses activities TIC´s will be important and we will use it.
