Promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship through a training network

ENT-NET project aims to promote and enhance entrepreneurship and self-employment to tackle three main problems that young people face nowadays: high unemployment rates, lack of basic knowledge for opening and running a business and deeply theorical character of the entrepreneurial education. Therefore, partners from Spain, Italy, Greece and Romania aim to create a sustainable network to develop, transfer and implement innovative and good practices and methods on training for young entrepreneurs. Target groups are young adults (18-35) qualified and low and no qualified. Participation of women will be assessed by specific indicators to measure gender equality of the project. The project aims to directly involve over 1000 people as direct participants in training activities and indirect target groups, which will take place in the countries where partners are based. Some of participants could attend to training courses abroad. Project activities will be the following: - To create an accessible web training platform - To develop a common curriculum by exchanging best practices and methods from partners. - To write up a Methodology Training for Entrepreneurs' Trainers. - To design a training course in English and in the different languages of partners. - To carry out and test four training courses in four partners' countries involving local and foreign participants. Expected impacts for participants: - to increase business and entrepreneurial capacity and skills of participants, - to increase ICT skills of participants applied to business creation. - to increase participants' opportunities for professional development. - to increase business creation by young people. - to improve participants' perception of self-employment as a feasible alternative. Long-term benefits will be firstly for participants who will get in early age entrepreneurial skills and competences to start and run a business, acquired in a training course at European level, developed basing on best practices and methods. Secondly, partners will improve and uniformize their training actions in order to develop an European network on entreprenerurship. Methodology used in this project could be transferred to European stakeholders, such as Chambers of Commerce, entrepreneurs associations, schools from different educative levels, public entities, training companies ...
