Promoting Equity and Inclusion to Achieve the Highest Productivity

I.E.S. Jaime Ferrán Clúa is a public vocational education and training institute in San Fernando de Henares, an urban area with medium-low socio-economic level, on the outskirts of Madrid. Students are from 15 different nationalities and it is a reference center to normalized schooling of students with motor disabilities and educational difficulties.In this context of cultural differences and disadvantaged students, the main objective of our Institute is to increase productivity through internationalization. Our project aims to support equity and inclusion by facilitating the access to students with disadvantaged backgrounds and fewer opportunities to participate in transnational activities. Our plan is provide our students training and work experience abroad and our teachers the opportunity to experience other educational and career realities.Competences, skills, and best practices acquired by teachers will be transmitted to the rest of the staff and future students. This is intended to better the managing of the resources that we have and improving productivity in our own Institute. In short, "improve the productivity OF our Institute".Students who have acquired these new experiences and skills, improve productivity in companies in which they are hired and in last instance will improve productivity at regional, national and European level. In short, "improving productivity THROUGH our Institute".Participation in the Erasmus+ programmes will contribute to improve the quality and relevance of our institution.The project will provide to the students:-The acquisition of skills and competences through work experience in European companies.-Personal development and also as active citizens in the society.-Increase the competitiveness of their CV´s and their employability.-Improvement of personal, cultural competence and in foreign languages.-Develop an awareness of European citizenship and identity.To the staff:-Exchange of knowledge and innovation between institutions to improve the quality of teaching.-Improvement of personal, cultural competence and in foreign languages.-Greater understanding of the interface between education and the labour market.-Greater understanding being responsive to the social, linguistic and cultural diversity-Increased motivation and satisfaction by everyday work.To the institution:-A greater agility to organize international projects.-To improve the skills of management of our Institute.-To increase and strengthen cooperation with partners from other countries.-To integrate best practices and new methods of teaching and management.-To offer more attractive programs to students.-To consolidate our strategy of internationalization.-To help reduce the rate of youth unemployment in our region.-To establish cooperation with educational organizations and national and international healthcare.-To increase student exchange and welcoming citizens of other nationalities.To the the region:-Promoting equity and inclusion, facilitating participation in transnational activities to students in our area immigrants, refugees or those with economic difficulties.-To improve the employability of young people.To Spain and Europe:-To provide companies with better trained employees. -To strengthen the links between education and business.-To increase productivity.The plan for dissemination will be on the web page of the institution, creating a blog, using social networks, materials such as advertising brochures, lectures, articles in the local press and publication in the platform for the European Commission.With this project we will increase the international cooperation of our institution, we will offer the opportunity to our students to open up new business horizons, as well as cultural enrichment.The long-term impact is the regeneration of the economy of our environment.
