Due to the growing need for knowledge of project management, we wanted to train a project team, that could follow the growing demand for management of international projects and ensure quality at all stages of each project. The strategic objective of the School Centre Srečko Kosovel Sežana is to expand the interantional cooperation in strategic projects.
The objectives of our project were:
-to train a competent project management group of international projects
-to develop the competence to communicate in a foreign language
- to develop ICT competence with the use of modern communication tools
-to learn the example of good practice abroad
-to transfer knowledge from abroad to home school
-to use knowledge gained in the management of further projects.
We wanted to train a selected group of experts who would participate in the training, achieve the objectives and make optimal use of project results which will be reflected in the number of new applications and successfully completed projects.
The training was conducted with the help of our well-known partner, the successful applicant of international projects .
In the application we applied for four mobilities (one ITC teacher, one coordinator, an accountant and business secretary). We received only one grant and the school board decided that it is necessary to train 2 key persons (accountant and business secretary).
Despite the fact that the training has been attended by only two employees, we achieved most of the objectives of the project. Maybe we need a more motivated ICT teacher to support eTwinning and Europass, and an additional motivated teacher who would work as a coordinator.
Both particiapnts gained competences of project management, developed the competence to communicate in a foreign langauage, learned the example of good practice, sucesfully transfered the knowledge in the daily work at our school and used the knowledge in the management of this year's projects.
Even more than the knowledge and additional competences, the mobility significantly increased the motivation of both participants.
