Our project – The School Lab of Innovation and Initiative – leads to appoint task groups which include both teachers and students. Their job will be to prepare educational strategies and tools that can help to improve the effectiveness and attraction of the teaching / learning process. We hope that the outcome of the activity will be: • lesson scenarios that include active methods of teaching, also those based on the idea of CLIL,• teaching / learning prompts (e.g. slideshows, posters, short movies, 3D models, worksheets), that can be used during different classes and by a wide range of people not only in our school.Every member of the Lab will be acquainted with various methods of group work, the basic idea of democratic education (with the students' voices being equal to the teachers'), the rules of an open space method, with the idea of creative thinking and all of that will be supervised by the teachers that will take part in ERASMUS+ courses.The Lab is to be open for the ideas of teachers and students especially in the field of such subjects as: languages, biology, mathematics, physics, chemistry or geography. We believe that those are the most difficult subjects to be acquired by the pupils, but also to be presented in an easy and interesting way by the teachers. The groups will be given about 30 days to elaborate on the most suitable methods and tools connected to the stated problems.The Lab will publish the effects regularly on the school website (www.lodz.salezjanie.pl). We plan to encourage teachers and students from other local schools to participate in the project. We also want to invite the methodologists and lecturers from University of Lodz to become our partners in the project.
